CAMBRIDGE, Ontario (December 1, 2017) – The 29th annual Pinnacle Awards, presented by Kostuch Media Limited, took place today and among the recipients was Langdon Hall’s Executive Chef Jason Bangerter received Chef of the Year for 2017.

Since 1988, the Pinnacle Awards have recognized the full spectrum of achievements in the hospitality industry. The awards shine the spotlight on companies and individuals that have demonstrated excellence in the areas of leadership, initiative and business excellence. The awards epitomize the best characteristics of the foodservice and hospitality industries, highlighting innovation, creativity and successful business strategies.

Notably an influential leader in the culinary industry, Chef Jason’s career spans nationally and internationally, working alongside some of the world’s greatest chefs. He has set an example by being at the forefront of these changes with his innovative use of regional ingredients and responsible, sustainable approach to sourcing products. More importantly, he strives to inspire the next generation of chefs.

In spite of his many accolades and accomplishments, he remains humble and continues to foster a work-hard philosophy with the many young chefs at Langdon Hall. His advice for those aspiring for the prestigious Chef of the Year title? “Listen, learn and retain. You become as great as you allow yourself to be.”
