Spend Time Together in a Winter Wonderland

It sounds like an Imagine from a Christmas card: the two of you taking in the region’s scenic rural regions snuggled beneath a blanket in a one horse open sleigh. Make it a reality at St. Jacobs Horse Drawn Tours. These are private bookings that require a reservation, which you can make on the company’s website.

Skating at one of the region’s many outdoor skating rinks is a great date night idea (you can warm up afterwards with a coffee or hot chocolate from a local café.) Find a rink near you:

City of Kitchener outdoor rinks
City of Cambridge outdoor rinks

Baby it’s Cold Outside: Date Night at Home

Ok – maybe heading out into the cold winter temperatures isn’t your thing. How about creating a warm, romantic night in Chez Vous?

Prepare a special dinner for two at home with the help of these restaurants and businesses offering holiday food experiences. Choose from prepared meals, meals you finish off yourself, charcuterie boxes, or virtual cooking classes where the two of you make the entire meal together from start to finish.

Turn your date night into dinner and a show by streaming a locally produced, virtual event. For music enthusiasts, join the KW Symphony’s Yuletide Spectacular (December 18th). If theatre is your passion, Lost & Found Theatre presents A Lost & Found Christmas: At Home (December 16th). And if you’re looking for a movie, check out Apollo Cinema’s Virtual Screenings so the two of you can settle in and watch a movie at home on your screen (don’t forget the Apollo’s Saturday Popcorn Pickups to make the experience next level!)
