Winter Holiday Camps
Winter Break Camp at Schneider Haus
Children ages 5 to 10 years old can enjoy fun holiday crafts and outdoor winter activities. Sign up for one day, a few days, or all seven!
Homer Watson Winter Camp
Homer Watson House and Gallery camps are a place for artists to explore making and learning. Each day is a new adventure and may include painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpting. Materials are included.
Winter Break Camps at THEMUSEUM
Stay-cation at THEMUSEUM or Light Up Marble Run – both day camps take place the first week of January.
City of Kitchener Winter Break Camps
Join in on the fun and register your children for the City of Kitchener’s safe, fun and interactive Winter Break Camps, available at various community centres throughout the city.
City of Cambridge Winter Break Camps
This tradition style day camp will offer outdoor recreation activities, active and quiet games, and arts and crafts. Campers age 6-12 will swim daily.
Camp Ki-Wa-Y Winter Break Day Camp
This outdoor day camp will keep campers ages 4-12 busy with activities such as snow shoeing, tobogganing, shelter building, low ropes, crafts, campfires, and active games!
Winter Break Camps at Bingemans
Day camp programs at Bingemans may include FunworX Playstructure, bowling, Ropes Course, arts and crafts, games, outdoor time (weather permitting). Lunch and snacks are provided each day. All programming is designed for ages 4-12 years.
Fun Holiday Activities
Kidspark Winter Festival
The City of Kitchener and the Kitchener Public Library have put together a special Kidspark Winter Festival. Bring the family and join them for free family fun throughout the winter break.
Christmas at the Castle
This is the best time of year to visit Castle Kilbride in Baden and marvel at the lavish décor adorned in festive attire. Returning this year is Herner’s Victorian Village- Inspired by real-life locations from the stories of Charles Dickens, the enchanting miniature village features over 130 Christmas-themed buildings and figurines.
Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory
Along with the 1000’s of free-flying butterflies in the tropical conservatory, kids can take part in a Scavenger Hunt to help them learn more about the creatures that live there!
Cheer on the Kitchener Rangers
Take the kids to cheer on the Rangers as they take on the Peterborough Petes December 30th at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium.
See the Holiday Lights
Their eyes with light up when you take your kids to see these incredible light displays in Waterloo Region!
Put the ‘Active’ in Activities!
Chicopee Ski
Join Chicopee for a fun day on the slopes! Spend time in the fresh air, as you feel the thrill of skiing or snowboarding with friends and family or learn a new winter sport.
Chicopee Tube Park
The hill at Chicopee Tube Park features 6 different chutes for tubing, meaning you won’t have to wait long for your turn! A carpet conveyor belt carries tubers and tubes back to the top to enjoy another run. After hours of playing in the snow, warm up in the Chalet Café and licensed Ranger Lounge.
Shade’s Mills Conservation Area
Winter activities at Shade’s Mills include snow shoeing, cross country skiing and ice fishing. The park is open 8AM to 6PM daily.
