Whether you’re coming for a day or the whole week, there’s itineraries to make some great memories.

Build your Weekend Itinerary

Before you head into town, book a room at one of our amazing hotels. Older kids will love staying the Delta Waterloo’s location close to Four All Ice Cream and Carry On Comics. It doesn’t hurt that it has a pool too. For families with younger kids, book a hotel like the Hampton Inn and Suites in St. Jacobs to be close to the St. Jacobs Market District

On Thursday, March 14, check into your hotel and make your way to AOK Craft Beer & Arcade for an afternoon of unlimited retro gaming. For dinner, head to Beertown in Uptown Waterloo where you’ll find one of the largest selections of beers for the adults and an amazing kids menu, too.

On Friday, March 15, get your family tickets for the Kitchener Rangers vs. the Owen Sound Attack. If you’re staying along the ION light rail transit, you can purchase an unlimited family day pass to get to the Kitchener Memorial.

On Saturday, March 16, book one of the most unique experiences you can have in Waterloo Region—an authentic Sugar Bush Tour. You’ll head out on a scenic ride from the St. Jacobs Farmer’s Market through the beautiful farming landscape of Woolwich Township to meet the owners of Winding Road Maple Products, Dale and Lucille Martin and their family. They’ll show you how and where the fresh maple syrup gets boiled and packed, and you’ll get to browse through their store and stock up on fresh maple syrup and other delicious maple treats!

If you’re bringing your dog, book a spot at Dog Friendly KW’s SNIFFSCAPE! Take your pup through a collection of over ten themed rooms, each with a different opportunity for education, enrichment, mental and physical stimulation—and cute photo opportunities.

Cap off your weekend with a dazzling display of nature’s beauty at the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory! These captivating creatures put on a spectacular show on sunny days, their vibrant blue wings shimmering in the light. But keep an eye out even when they’re resting, as their folded wings reveal a hidden beauty – a stunning display of browns and blacks. Just like the Blue Morpho, beauty truly comes in all forms at the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory!
