Vintage Fest takes you back in time for a weekend-worthy adventure

Waking up on the morning of a vintage festival is something special. Getting out of bed is easy: youāve slept in a bit, and head out with a sense of urgency to get to the festival – you know, youāve gotta be there early to get the best stuff!
Youāve only ever been to Market Road Antiques in the winter to check out the indoor vendors, but today the parking lot is alive with 200+ vendors getting ready for a long weekend full of vintage shoppers, out to source their next best find. As the sun heats up the pavement, the gates open and you start to look around. You walk through the aisles, mesmerized by colours and textures, the twill and leather patina, the tupperware and mid-century modern dĆ©cor.
This is Vintage Fest – a nostalgia-filled 3-day festival that celebrates all things retro!

Vintage Fest was born out of this process. The idea for a vintage and antique show was the perfect complement to everything the St. Jacobs Farmersā Market is doing with the Market District, alongside their plans to amplify the hidden gem that is Market Road Antiques.

Vintage Fest is perfect for everyone from thrifting enthusiasts to families looking for a great long-weekend outing. It’s also a pet-friendly event, so bring your four-legged family members too! Come for the fun and stay for the vibes! This modern antique and vintage show offers music, food and vintage-themed entertainment.Ā
There will be an eclectic mix of vendors offering everything from quirky furniture, retro garb, upcycled fashion, rare collectibles to affordable thrifted finds.
Enjoy a curated weekend of music with Funkān Fun Saturday, Soulful Sunday, and Mellow Monday. There will be live fashion shows, upcycling workshops, crafting for kids, swing dance lessons, and breakdancing showdowns. Enjoy the buskers, jugglers and magicians as they perform throughout the festival. And, check out Market Road Antiques – a 20,000 square foot indoor destination antique mall with over 150 antique dealer booths under one roof.
With so much going on, you’ll need more than one day to take it all in. Vintage Fest weekend passes are available; and with hotels located within walking distance of Vintage Fest, why not book a room for the weekend and explore at your leisure?
While youāre here, pick up an apple fritter and explore the vendors at the St. Jacobs Farmersā Market. Grab a canoe and paddle on the beautiful Grand River. Or take a hot air balloon ride and take in Waterloo Region from the air. There isnāt much you wonāt be able to find in Waterloo Region. Itās a weekend-worthy adventure.

Vintage Fest is easily accessible by car, bus, ION, or bike. Thereās plenty of free parking and places to leave your bike.
