KW Granite Club’s Rocks on the Grand Novice Funspiel is an event for novice curlers with some basic experience who want to have fun and sharpen their skills, as well as social curlers looking to enjoy a couple of low-stakes games and give a welcoming experience to those newer to the sport.
The Brush Off | February 1
Waterloo Region’s original and premiere live art-making event—The Brush Off—returns to THEMUSEUM! During this fundraising event, artists are invited to participate in a friendly competition, painting and creating art live in front of a live audience.
Beyonsea and the Monsters | February 1–9
Green Light Arts presents Beyonsea and the Mothers, a new play written and directed by local playwright Teneile Warren. Beyonsea and the Mothers tells the story of three Jamaicans brought together by circumstance in a place meant to give them second chances. This play discusses queerness, blackness, being an immigrant, and features strained family relationships and is recommended for people ages 12 and older.
Disney On Ice presents Mickey’s Search Party | February 1–2

Skate Night, Date Night | February 5, 12, 19, and 26
Skate Night, Date Night is the perfect winter weather outing, whether it’s your first or fortieth date. The rink in Uptown Waterloo comes alive every Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. with DJ King Kadeem spinning live and treats from Hissing Goose Coffee Roasters. Each night features a theme, from Metal and Punk on February 5 to Country Night on February 19.

Kitchener Rangers Hockey | February 7, 11, 21, 25, and 28
Your Kitchener Rangers head into the second to last month of the OHL season with five home games at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. Get your tickets for exciting Rangers action, including their Next Gen Night against the Barrie Colts on Friday, February 27. The Rangers will be wearing the winning design from the CHL Jersey Contest for their Next Generation Game. All player jerseys from the game will be auctioned off, and 100% of proceeds will go to President’s Choice Children’s Charity to help feed one million kids each year.
