Artist Concept Statement:
Lauren’s concept pays homage to the city’s vibrant farming community as well as it’s tech sector.
Reason for Participating in Art Fresco Public Art Project:
For Lauren, the Art Fresco Project was an exciting opportunity to try something new (she’s never painted a picnic table before!) and helped to keep her creative juices flowing.
Artist Background:
Lauren is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, curator and administrator from Toronto, currently residing in Waterloo Region. She has an Master of Fine Arts from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio art and English Literature from Concordia University.
