Table Location:
Coming to a patio near you Spring 2021!
Artist Concept Statement:
Tee drew a series of images focusing on mental health and political action over 2018-2019, and hopes that this experience is one that invites both reflection and action for people sitting at his picnic tabl.
Reason for Participating in Art Fresco Public Art Project:
Tee loves public art projects and the Art Fresco Project gave her an opportunity to infuse a bit of whimsy to the KW landscape.
Artist Background:
Tee is an interdisciplinary artist and illustrator, and her work is rooted in drawing and storytelling. In April 2019, her Fine Arts thesis work was presented at the University of Waterloo Art Gallery. Her contribution to the group show was an interactive social practice piece that intended to make community visible through the cycle of positive affect. In September 2019, she was able to share more interactive social practice work through S.A.I.L. for a one night solo show. In October 2019, she won the Juror’s award for her video performance, Mend, at Loose Buttons/Tight Seams (Button Factory Arts). In January 2020, she curated a group show at Button Factory, Friends & Lovers, exploring the intimacies that hold community together. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts & Communication from the University of Waterloo. She often works as an arts facilitator and zine maker locally as well.
