Get ready to take flight in a piece of aviation history with Waterloo Warbirds! Visitors take flight in an actual fighter jet from the Cold War. Their mandate is to introduce a new generation of Canadians to our unique aviation history, while honouring the men and women who serve Canada.
The Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre (WWFC) is deeply rooted in Waterloo Region and was founded in 1932 at Lexington field in North Waterloo. It began as a flying centre, but continued to grow and became a driving force behind the formation of the Waterloo Airport in 1950.
The Wellesley Apple Butter & Cheese Festival, held every year on the last Saturday in September, is one of the premier autumn festivals in Ontario. This one day event is all about the food, flavours, sights, sounds, entertainment and country charm.
Also known as The Kissing Bridge, the West Montrose Covered Bridge is Ontario's last remaining covered bridge. Located in Woolwich Township, the bridge has a 198 foot span across the Grand River.
