Although most people know of me as a “legit” trumpet player who is most comfortable exploring the symphonic repertoire, I have an equally gregarious “other side” that yearns to continue the development of my early jazz training – a path that took a 20-year detour! Thus began “Larry’s Jazz Guys.”
I am lucky enough to have as friends some of the finest jazz musicians in Canada. For the past ten years we have headlined the “Jazz At The Registry” series at the Registry Theatre in Kitchener, Ontario, and opened the series again in January, 2016. We have performed at the Stratford Festival as part of their “Night Music” series for the past 7 seasons.
Without a doubt, we are most proud of being the Opening Night act at THE JAZZ ROOM at The Huether Hotel in Waterloo, Ontario back in September, 2010.
