Explore the fascinating world of collage art in this one-day workshop!
On Saturday July 17th, join us at Button Factory Arts Centre for a Mixed Media Collage Workshop with Maria Mesquita! We will start with some basic principles such as: how to built a background, work on composition, add focal points and embellishments. We will then select the materials to be used (glue, paper, newsprint, fabric, buttons, found objects or natural elements) and have fun making a unique collage on cardboard (8.5×11”). Embellishments such as doodles, black silhouettes, unique images, embroidery, etc. can be added. You will finish with a unique frameable piece.
