Robi Botas Trio at The Jazz Room

Robi Botos is a Hungarian-Canadian monster of a jazz pianist of Romani descent. He really needs no introduction!! He was the winner of the TD Grand Jazz Award at the 2012 Montreal International Jazz Festival. In 2016, Botos won the Juno Award for Best Jazz Album of the Year (Solo) for his recording of Movin’ Forward. Robi has been hailed as one of the most diverse multi-instrumentalists of this generation.
He has now been in Canada over 20 years and he has solidified himself as one of the most sought-after pianists in the country. He has six albums under his belt as leader and at least 11 as a sideman. We are indeed delighted and thrilled to welcome the return of Robi Botos and his Trio to our stage.
