They’re everywhere! Woolly Bear caterpillars become more visible in late fall and this beloved creature is our focus this October. See our Woolly Bear caterpillars up close! We’ll reveal the truth about the Woolly Bear’s stripes and you’ll discover how they survive the winter. Join us for a self-guided scavenger hunt, self-serve crafts, a guided Woolly Bear ‘Hunt’ and a Woolly Bear themed Storytime!

Join our Nature Interpreter for a guided walk through our wildflower meadow and see how many Woolly Bear caterpillars you can spot! Along the way, you’ll uncover fascinating facts about these charming creatures and learn how they survive the winter.
