DESCRIPTION:This 2 hour workshop with Della vanDokkumburg will help you get started with exercises and tips on how to draw the world around you\, or the world in your mind. You’ll receive a 4″x 5.5″ sketchbook\, waterproof pen\, and coloured pencils that you can easily take with you wherever you go.  Solidify travel memories\, capture daily moments\, doodle your way through meetings\, and you’ll soon have a one-of-a-kind book filled with random sketches of your life.  We’ll begin the workshop at Neruda Arts\, with the option of continuing at Block 3 Brewing for a friendly Drink and Draw session\, where you can practise your new drawing skills. SUMMARY:Intuitive Doodling
DESCRIPTION:  In this 2-hour workshop with Claudia Lambert\, participants will explore intuitive doodling/art on watercolour paper\, using flowing ink lines and watercolour washes.  Through gentle instruction and reflective pauses\, you’ll create organic forms that mirror the mind’s natural pattern-making\, supporting integration between cognitive awareness and emotional experience. No art experience is needed—only curiosity and openness. This practice is meditative rather than technical: repetitive line\, colour blending\, and mindful attention invite calm\, reduce mental noise\, and help surface and transform emotions in a safe\, nonverbal way. The lines may be tiny\, but the room to breathe enormous! You’ll leave with a finished artwork and a simple process you can return to for self-regulation and creative renewal.    This workshop is one of eight in the Making it Tiny Workshops Series by the new Tiny Ass Art Gallery in St. Jacobs. Whether you’re coming solo or with a friend\, this beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect way to unwind\, get a little messy\, and discover the joy of ceramics—no experience needed! In this 2-hour session\, professional ceramics teacher Sarah will guide you step-by-step through the process of building your mug from start to finish. With visual examples\, instruction sheets\, and plenty of encouragement\, you’ll learn the basics of clay construction\, surface design\, and the importance of embracing the perfectly imperfect process of pottery. We’ll start by sharing what sparks our creativity\, and as the workshop flows\, you’ll assemble your mug\, and choose your glaze finish before handing it off for firing. DESCRIPTION:In this 2-hour workshop by Carolyn Parks\, you will needle felt 2-3 small pieces of 2-dimensional art (maximum 6″ x 6″ in size) on subjects of your own choosing! Finished pieces will be affixed to sanded cedar blocks for a unique display approach. All felting supplies and cedar blocks are included. The  cedar pieces are unfinished and you may stain them at home if you want a different colour finish. Our instructor will give a brief lesson on fused glass\, and the rest of the time is yours to create a one-of-a-kind artwork! Get creative with colour and texture to create a unique\, functional piece of art. During the workshop\, please photograph your artwork so you can identify it when it comes out of the kiln.  Artwork Pickup + Kiln Firing:Items will be kiln fired after the workshop by our team of studio technicians. You will be emailed 4-6 weeks after the workshop when items are ready for pick up.
