SUMMARY:Society of Beer Drinking Ladies Presents: Bevy #1
DESCRIPTION:We have taken a couple years off to build our Society Clubhouse event space in Toronto\, but we’re back with The Society of Beer Drinking Ladies! Our co-founder Erica has moved to Kitchener and is jazzed to bring her bevies to her hometown. After throwing over 60 women beer events since 2013 (ranging from 10-person beer dinners to 1500-person Lady Beer Festivals) in Toronto\, Hamilton and Ottawa\, we can’t wait to bring back bevies. Our bevies are magic – a welcoming space for women folks to connect and hang out over great beer. We are thrilled to host Bevy #1 at the best beer bar in KW\, Arabella Beer Bar. They will have food available and we will also have some great local artisans popped up. A portion of ticket and SOBDL swag will be donated to the excellent work of SPECTRUM. Peep what they do for the community. We strive to be an inclusive and welcoming space. This event is open to all women\, which means trans women too\, as well as those who are nonbinary\, gender non-conforming\, and anyone else who identifies as a woman in a way that is significant to them.

SUMMARY:Restorative Sound Bath
DESCRIPTION:inspired by yogic rest and the inward turning of pratyahara\, this gong-led sound immersion invites you into a felt state of deep relaxation\, allowing the body to soften while gently becoming aware of awareness itself. the practice moves through the liminal space between wakefulness and sleep — where effort fades\, yet attention remains. the experience unfolds in two parts. we begin with guided meditation\, including intention setting (sankalpa) and a gentle rotation of consciousness\, preparing the ground for the second half: an expansive gong immersion designed to support stillness\, release\, and inward listening. traditionally\, this state of relaxation allows us to remain aware while the body rests\, disengage from habitual identification\, and experience consciousness without content. what remains when doing stops\, yet awareness stays? the evening will close with an optional tea circle — a quiet space to sit\, share\, reflect\, or simply be in gentle community before returning outward.

SUMMARY:Full Moon Sound Bath & Tea Circle
DESCRIPTION:held under the light of the full moon\, this evening opens a space for realization — not surface-level clarity\, but the kind that gently shifts your inner compass. what becomes clear when you allow yourself to pause\, listen beneath the noise\, and create space for perspective? what emerges when awareness reconnects with a deeper knowing already present within? through deep gong resonance\, shimmering overtones\, and oceanic textures\, the immersion invites the body to soften\, the mind to quiet\, and the nervous system to settle into stillness. the experience is designed to support reflection\, presence\, and embodied awareness — gently guiding the way forward not through force\, but through listening. held in a small\, intimate circle\, this full moon gathering offers space to rest\, reset\, and reconnect inwardly. following the sound immersion\, we gather for an optional tea circle — to sit\, to share\, reflect\, or simply be in quiet community before returning outward.

SUMMARY:Disaster Class
DESCRIPTION:What is Disaster CLASS? Disaster CLASS is an experience designed around three ways we encounter disaster — and how these moments\, though painful\, can also lead to connection\, reflection\, and transformation. The disasters we create — the failures and breakdowns we own\, revealing character\, values\, and growth. The disasters that conscript us — the experiences we never choose\, like illness\, loss\, or upheaval\, that reshape who we are. The disasters that compel us to respond — the societal disasters around us that call for responsibility\, action\, and engagement. Disasters are crushing and consequential. They hurt. They leave marks. And yet\, if we allow them\, they can also be connective\, cathartic\, and catalytic — telling the truth and moving us toward transformation. Join us for a great night of pizza\, drinks\, community\, and the chance to be part of something meaningful from the very beginning. As our speakers share their own disasters and how they turned them into something meaningful\, honest\, and deeply human. Come out\, listen close\, and be part of the conversation.
