Through art\, storytelling\, and historical research\, the mural shines a light on an important chapter of local Black history rooted in resilience\, freedom\, and belonging. Celebrate with a day of community\, culture\, and connection on Saturday\, August 15\, 2026\, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Enjoy delicious eats from a Caribbean food truck and ice cream truck\, live music\, children’s entertainment\, a pop-up Black history exhibit\, and the launch of the Queen’s Bush Settlement driving tour\, where visitors can pick up a free map pamphlet to explore the area’s rich heritage.
