SUMMARY:restorative gong yoga · sound and stillness circle
DESCRIPTION:An invitation for those seeking effortless physical rest\, gentle fascial release\, and a quiet return to the body. Rest in fully supported\, gentle floor poses as gravity and stillness soften the body’s quiet holding patterns\, while the gong’s vibrations gently resonate through you. This is not a practice of effort. No strength\, stretching\, or striving. Instead\, you are invited into a slower experience of presence\, where support\, gravity\, and time allow the body to unwind in its own way. Gong resonance accompanies the stillness\, offering a deeply restful sensory experience that may support physical relaxation\, a softer relationship with the body\, and awareness of where we habitually hold or brace. Facilitated by Layla Haroon\, Sound Resonance Practitioner.

SUMMARY:Valdy Concert supported by Kaleb Hikele
DESCRIPTION:Valdy\, born Valdemar Horsdal in Ottawa\, Canada has been part of the fabric of Canadian pop and folk music for almost 40 years. A man with a thousand friends\, from Newfoundland to Vancouver Island to Texas to New Zealand\, he’s a singer\, guitarist and songwriter who catches the small but telling moments that make up life. Remembered for “Play Me a Rock and Roll Song”\, his bitter-sweet memory of finding himself\, a relaxed and amiable story-teller\, facing a rambunctious audience at the Aldergrove Rock Festival circa 1968\, Valdy has sold almost half a million copies of his 13 albums\, has two Juno Awards (Folk Singer of the Year and Folk Entertainer of the Year)\, a total of seven Juno nominations and four Gold albums to his credit.   Kaleb Hikele is a working-class Canadian musician\, a classically trained pianist and a veteran independent artist since the early 2000’s. Best known for his work as The Sun Harmonic since 2009\, his expansive discography ranges from folk to rock to soul and classical. Kaleb is proud to complete one of his most personal works\, an anticipated album called Storytelling\, his fifth solo album and fourteenth independent studio album in his dynamic catalogue.
