DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon of clay hand-building where you’ll learn to sculpt your very own ceramic travel mug! Whether you’re coming solo or with a friend\, this beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect way to unwind\, get a little messy\, and discover the joy of ceramics—no experience needed! In this 2-hour session\, professional ceramics teacher Sarah will guide you step-by-step through the process of building your mug from start to finish. With visual examples\, instruction sheets\, and plenty of encouragement\, you’ll learn the basics of clay construction\, surface design\, and the importance of embracing the perfectly imperfect process of pottery. We’ll start by sharing what sparks our creativity\, and as the workshop flows\, you’ll assemble your mug\, and choose your glaze finish before handing it off for firing. Finished mugs will be ready for pickup 2–4 weeks after the workshop. All tools\, clay\, and materials are provided—just bring your imagination and your favorite people. Attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

SUMMARY:Tiny Felted Scenes
DESCRIPTION:In this 2-hour workshop by Carolyn Parks\, you will needle felt 2-3 small pieces of 2-dimensional art (maximum 6″ x 6″ in size) on subjects of your own choosing! Finished pieces will be affixed to sanded cedar blocks for a unique display approach. All felting supplies and cedar blocks are included. The  cedar pieces are unfinished and you may stain them at home if you want a different colour finish. This workshop is one of the workshops in the Making it Tiny Workshops Series by the new Tiny Ass Art Gallery in St. Jacobs – 8 artists will guide participants in different media\, resulting in lovely small works to take home. Tiny Ass Art Gallery is a collective of 15 local women artists where art will focus on the idea of tiny both in scale and subject matter. Details to Note: This workshop takes place at Neruda Arts in St. Jacobs. DESCRIPTION:Get creative with glass! Make your choice of a coaster OR window hanging. Each ticket includes 1 kiln-fired glass item. Our instructor will give a brief lesson on fused glass\, and the rest of the time is yours to create a one-of-a-kind artwork! Get creative with colour and texture to create a unique\, functional piece of art. During the workshop\, please photograph your artwork so you can identify it when it comes out of the kiln.  Artwork Pickup + Kiln Firing:Items will be kiln fired after the workshop by our team of studio technicians. You will be emailed 4-6 weeks after the workshop when items are ready for pick up. You can also check our website here to see if your pieces are ready to be picked up.
