Brownie is a Second City alumni\, independent show producer\, and she keeps her fingers on the pulse by frequenting open mics all over Toronto. Line up is subject to change without notice. SUMMARY:Age of Majority Singers Presents: Come Gather 'Round\, People
DESCRIPTION:This Spring\, AOMS explores themes of gathering in difficult times in the name of hopeful change. Through gathering\, our community can support each other and others\, stand up for injustice and marginalized voices\, and share a dream for a better world\, and love for all. Through powerful lyrics and inviting melodies\, we hope everyone at the concert finds a sense of support\, comfort\, and belonging in our music. Featuring songs by choral giants Morten Lauridsen and Eric Whitacre\, songwriting poets like Bob Dylan (whose song “The Times\, They Are A-Changin’ provides the inspiration for our concert title)\, and hit songs from the musicals “Wicked” and “Dear Evan Hansen”\, our program explores the multitude of ways music speaks truth to power: through the lyrics and notes we sing\, as a caring musical community.   There are TWO shows available\, a 2pm matinee followed by a 7:30pm evening performance.
