SUMMARY:In Conversation with CBC’s Bob McDonald
DESCRIPTION:Bob is best known as the host of CBC’s Quirks & Quarks\, in addition to being an author and science journalist.   What if Everything We Know is Wrong? Throughout history\, science has shown us time and again that the way we perceive the world through our five senses is incomplete. When we look around\, the Earth appears to be flat and unmoving. It took a lot of science\, mathematics and engineering to figure out that we live on a ball that spins like a top\, circles a star\, which circles a galaxy that is only one of billions of others in an ever-expanding universe.   This illustrated talk is a journey through time to look at significant thinkers (including Galileo) who altered our perception of the universe. And this process is not over. There is still much we don’t know!   This event is in celebration of the 10th Anniversary of THEMAKERSPACE\, and is a part of The da Vinci Dialogues.
