SUMMARY:Sound Bath - Gong Led Yogic Rest
DESCRIPTION:Inspired by the yogic practice of pratyahara\, this experience begins with guided meditation before dissolving into a boundless gong immersion. We begin with intention setting and a gentle rotation of consciousness\, gradually turning attention inward. From there\, the gong becomes the landscape for deep rest\, inviting you into the space between wakefulness and sleep\, where effort fades yet awareness remains. Rather than simply falling asleep\, the practice offers an opportunity to experience rest while maintaining a quiet thread of inner awareness\, gently loosening our habitual identification with the body and mind. An invitation for those wishing to rest deeply\, cultivate inner awareness\, and explore the spaciousness that emerges when doing stops\, yet awareness remains. Following the gong immersion\, we gather for rose tea and dates\, to sit\, share\, or simply be.

SUMMARY:Song and Gong Resonance Circle
DESCRIPTION:Under the moon’s pull\, we gather to listen\, not only to the gong\, but to what remains when the sound has passed. This immersive gong journey explores the dialogue between resonance and silence. Waves of vibration gradually give way to spaciousness\, inviting the breath to soften\, the body to settle\, and the mind to become quiet. Rather than seeking an outcome\, we listen. We notice the spaces between sounds\, the moments of silence\, and the awareness that remains beneath them. An invitation for those drawn to contemplative practice\, inner stillness\, and a deeper exploration of consciousness through sound. The experience closes with rose tea and dates\, creating space to gently return\, sit together\, share\, or simply be.

SUMMARY:Visionary Speaker Series: Emelie Chhangur
DESCRIPTION:This talk considers what becomes possible when curatorial practice works directly on the structures through which cultural and public life are organized. Drawing on twenty-five years of work\, Chhangur follows two connected movements in her practice: changing cultural institutions from within and bringing curatorial practice into the public spaces and systems of the city. At Agnes Reimagined\, these movements came together. The museum itself became a long-term curatorial project\, with architecture as a medium for rebuilding museum practice from the ground up and transforming its social and civic role. Chhangur now brings this practice to the reimagining of Toronto Pearson International Airport as Art and Culture Integration Lead on the architectural design team. If Agnes reimagined the museum as civic infrastructure\, Pearson reverses and expands that proposition: civic infrastructure is reimagined as culture. Free | Please Register
