The 1 km walk or run will begin at 11:45 AM\, perfect for a fun and accessible route\, followed by the 5 km walk or run at 12:00 PM for those ready to take on the full experience. And the fun does not stop at the finish line. This year’s event is packed with activities for everyone to enjoy\, including face painting\, lawn games\, a raffle\, and so much more. We are also working behind the scenes to bring in even more exciting additions\, with new activities and experiences to be announced soon. Our instructor will give a brief lesson on fused glass\, and the rest of the time is yours to create a one-of-a-kind artwork! Get creative with colour and texture to create a unique\, functional piece of art. During the workshop\, please photograph your artwork so you can identify it when it comes out of the kiln.  Artwork Pickup + Kiln Firing:Items will be kiln fired after the workshop by our team of studio technicians. You will be emailed 4-6 weeks after the workshop when items are ready for pick up. You can also check our website here to see if your pieces are ready to be picked up. Groups with children:Children aged 10-14 are welcome to attend the workshop as long as they are accompanied by an adult who also has a ticket. 1 adult can bring up to 2 children (all must have a ticket).

After the screening\, we’ll dive into an engaging live Q&A with the filmmaker and the film’s subject. Guests Rahima Khushi: A human rights advocate and social worker whose lived experience informs her powerful advocacy for gender equity and refugee rights. She joins us in person to share her journey of reclaiming her future. Rishabh Raj Jain: An award-winning journalist and filmmaker whose work has earned both a Student Academy Award and a Student Emmy.
