Enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience at The Walper Hotel, Waterloo Region’s iconic 4-star boutique hotel. Located at the corner of King and Queen streets in downtown Kitchener, the Walper is at the centre of activity and fun in the downtown core.

Built in 1893 and extensively renovated in 2017, guests can expect a contemporary design with many of the original features preserved. The rooms are complete with unique wallpaper designs, pour over coffee stations, handmade soap, comfortable robes, and tech friendly options for the sophisticated traveller.

Every hall and corner at The Walper Hotel has a story to tell. Among the dignitaries and stars who have stayed at the Walper are Eleanor Roosevelt, Canadian prime minister William Lyon Mackenzie King, William Shatner and Bob Hope to name a few.

Located beneath the hotel is  TWH Social. Open for lunch, dinner, and brunch on Saturday and Sunday, it features local ingredients and a menu focused on sustainability and diversity. TWH Social is also available for large groups and special events.

Meet and socialize with other hotel guests while enjoying a drink at The Lokal Urban Lounge. Their selection of beverages and cocktails are mixed using in-house custom made syrups & sodas, and are designed for the modern pallet.
