Artist Nina Bailey-Dick’s powerful batiks and collages are a feminist declaration of love for the land\, sky\, and self; an invitation to embrace both the beautiful and the broken parts of ourselves. With musicians ages 6–60\, TWINKLE welcomes young audiences into a shared world of sound and imagination. The show moves easily between tenderness and joyful absurdity as our camper fishes for a star\, sings under the night sky\, awakens a sleepy sleeping bag\, and parties with a Hot Dog. Children are invited into small\, meaningful interactions: singing along with Twinkle Twinkle\, rolling a ball\, creating a shadow\, or simply being present as this magical world unfolds around them. SUMMARY:Claytime - Beginner Clay Workshops
DESCRIPTION:Get creative with clay! During this freestyle clay workshop you can make and paint a small project of your choice. Each ticket includes 1 clay item to go through the kiln.Our instructor will demonstrate basic handbuilding techniques and show you how to combine simple forms with sculptural elements to create fun and functional pieces for your home! Items are food safe\, dishwasher safe\, and microwave safe. Popular project ideas include a plate\, mug\, plant pot\, or ring holder – all with the option to add your own decorative touch. Make a mug with your morning mantra\, a tealight that looks like a turtle\, or a plate that’s designed to fit your favourite snack. During the workshop\, please photograph your artwork and carve your name on the bottom so you can identify it when it comes out of the kiln. Artwork Pickup + Firing:Items will be kiln fired after the workshop by our team of studio technicians. You will be emailed in 6-8 weeks after the workshop when items are ready for pick up. Your clay artwork will be air dried for 1 week and then fired in the kiln twice. Each firing takes up to 48 hours. DESCRIPTION:We will be open Friday through Monday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. (Please note these activities will not be offered on Saturday as we are running a special ticketed event that day)On Friday\, Sunday\, and Monday\, we will be buzzing with Spring crafts and activities all day long. Make your very own hopping bunny and slime to take home! Looking to take in some Springtime cuteness? Don’t forget to check in on our resident baby chicks chirping away! Join in for our mini egg hunts running hourly beginning at 11:30 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. and collect an Easter treat!
