Artist Concept Statement:
Victoria was inspired to create something that is artificially constructed to be natural. There is an added layer when its image is placed on a man-made structure that makes this project even more unique.
Reason for Participating in Art Fresco Public Art Project:
The Art Fresco Project was an amazing opportunity to produce art on an ‘unorthodox’ surface. Victoria loves Kitchener-Waterloo and how alive art in the city is, and the overwhelming feeling of community it provides. She was eager to use her skills to contribute alongside other artists to the Waterloo community.
Artist Background:
Victoria is a Fine Arts major at the University of Waterloo and will graduate in April 2021. She has raised over $600 for various cat shelters over the past year by selling art and taking commissions. Multiple pieces of her work are currently on loan at the University of Waterloo as part of the Brush With Art program.
