Home | Business Events | 6 New Venues for your Waterloo Region Event
BY ALEX KINSELLA | AUGUST 2022

The hotels and venues of Waterloo Region are ready to host your business event or conference. Many changes and additions have been made to our venues, including the all-new Tapestry Hall in Cambridge and the Hampton Inn in St. Jacobs. In Kitchener, the DoubleTree hotel has renovated its meeting space and rooms extensively, while the Cambridge Hotel has added a new event space called The Venue.

Here are six new and updated venues for your Waterloo Region Event:

 Bingemans

Bingemans is the largest event venue in Waterloo Region, with over 40,000+ square feet of flexible space. It is the perfect venue for any event, from weddings to corporate barbeques to company team-building events. The Riverside Event Space is a private, quiet outdoor area that runs along the banks of the Grand River—but close enough to the main Bingemans space with the Kingpin Bowling Lounge.

Tapestry Hall

The newest event venue in Waterloo Region is Tapestry Hall in Cambridge. The venue comprises two rooms that can accommodate conferences, events, and weddings. Their Main Room can be configured to host up to 1,000 people, and the Tap Room can host up to 200 guests. Tapestry Hall is a full-featured venue and can provide planning services, décor, technical production, and curated menus to ensure your event is fantastic.

It is a very modern industrial styled venue, with concrete flors, metal bars along the balcony and stairs, and wooden walls along the side wall. You can see a large bar area on the main floor, and a large, whimsical white art installation hangs from the ceiling.

The Walper Hotel by Hyatt

From weddings to business events, galas to cocktail receptions, The Walper Hotel has been one of the most sought-after venues for over a century. In 2021, The Walper Hotel joined the JdV by Hyatt brand to enhance their guest experience while keeping the operation locally managed. All their event spaces feature natural light, including the popular Lokal Lounge, a hip and trendy venue connecting their event spaces.

The hotel is completing significant renovations, and when completed, the DoubleTree Kitchener will be the largest full-service hotel in the region. The hotel has recently completed renovations of their on-site restaurant, Arbor Kitchen and Bar, providing guests with various North American dishes fused with Caribbean and Asian influences.
