October 20, 2022 – Emma Spence is making a return visit to England, an unexpected opportunity that comes three months after a triple bronze-medal performance at the Commonwealth Games.
The Cambridge native, a sophomore at the University of Nebraska, will arrive in Montreal on Friday to train with teammates ahead of the Oct. 26-Nov. 6 artistic gymnastics world championship in Liverpool. Spence, who missed September’s world trials in Montreal due to illness, was added to the 12-member Canadians squad last week when an injury forced Rose Woo to withdraw.
