WATERLOO, ON — A local independent game development studio is picking up steam, securing $19 million to fund the development of its debut game, “Omega Strikers.”
Odyssey Interactive, which now has about 35 employees, has raised $19 million in a series A round led by Makers Fund, a global firm that invests into early-stage entertainment ventures. “Omega Strikers” is a game for two teams of three players, where opponents try to take out the other team by striking players out of the arena, while scoring goals.
