Blackshaw, 15, is in her third season of competitive wrestling and is attempting to repeat as national champion in the cadet (U17) division.

“I’m hoping to win again, but I also want to get there and see what I can do,” said Blackshaw, from the Waterloo Regional Matmen Wrestling Club.

“I want to try moves and challenge myself.”
