Winter might not be done with us yet, but that doesn’t mean Waterloo Region isn’t heating up with events!
We’re getting ready for spring with a maple-inspired trail, baby goat snuggles for the soul, world-class synchronized skating at the Skate Canada Cup, and plenty of St. Patrick’s Day “craic”!

What’s Happening in March
Taste of Maple Trail | March 1 – April 15
There’s no sweeter place to be this spring than Waterloo Region! The Taste of Maple Trail brings more than 20 inspired culinary creations and maple-crafted beverages together in one delicious, self-guided journey. You can also vote for the Top Taste award and let other trail-goers know who you think is the season’s sweetest star!
DTK Sunset Sessions | March 5 and 12
There are two more DTK Sunset Sessions left to enjoy in this amazing series brought to you by the Downtown Kitchener BIA and Good Co. Productions. The concerts happen at the Conrad Centre for the Performing Arts and are free to attend, but registration is required. Each concert is a surprise act, but sure to delight you as we wait for warmer weather and outdoor concerts! Stop by a DTK business for dinner and a treat before the show! Support local—that’s what makes this series possible.
St. Jacobs Market Food Tour | March 5, 12, 19, and 26
Start thinking of spring with a St. Jacobs Market Food Tour with Stroll Walking Tours. Each two-hour tour takes you on a tour of Mennonite food, culture and history, and tastings from the best local vendors at the famous St. Jacobs Farmer’s Market.

Marc Parent of April Wine Live at the Boathouse | March 6
Marc Parent is the current lead singer of Canadian rock icons April Wine, and he’s bringing his solo to The Boathouse for a night of high-energy night that moves from classic R&B and blues to soul, disco, funk, and rock.
2026 Skate Canada Cup | March 6–8
Keep that Olympic energy going when some of the best synchronized skaters in Canada come to the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex for the 2026 Skate Canada Cup. The event includes athletes competing at the intermediate, gold, and open categories.
Beginner Clay Workshops | March 7, 14, and 28
The Canadian Clay & Glass Beginner Clay Workshops are perfect for anyone looking to make their first piece. Your pieces are fired in a kiln after the workshop so you can have a fully functional and foodsafe piece of pottery.
March Mayhem Fight Night | March 7

Speed Skating Ontario Elite Championship | March 7–8
Speaking of Olympic energy, the Speed Skating Ontario Elite Championship is coming to Hespeler Memorial Auditorium on March 7. It’s an exciting atmosphere full of intense competition, impressive athleticism, and unforgettable moments. Also, Hespeler Arena has the best fries—you have to try them!
Femmes Folk Fest | March 7–15
Femme Folks Fest returns for its seventh season of comedy, theatre, music, storytelling, and dance for all ages. This year, the festival includes a Family Comedy and Music Jam brought to you by Pinch Arts, a hometown comics night with KW Comedy All Stars, and the award-winning concert event Of Mothers and Daughters by Nuha Yousuf. Irish Real Life Festival | March 7–17
St. Patrick’s Day isn’t the only day in March we all get to be Irish. The Irish Real Life Festival is back for ten days of Irish music, theatre, art, and craic! From family dances and music lessons to film screenings and plays, the IRL Festival is the truly-Irish way to celebrate all things Ireland in Waterloo Region!
KW Titans Basketball | March 8, 14, 15, 19, 26, and 28
Lock in with your Titans in March as they take the court for six home games in March. Catch the action at The Aud as they welcome the Lake Erie Jackals, Montreal Toundra, Sudbury Five, Kokomo Bobcats, and WIndsor Express this month. March 28 is the Kids Takeover game where they’re giving young Titans fans an all-access pass to what happens behind the scenes of a pro basketball game. Learn more about your child can apply here.
Crash Test Dummies | March 11
Grammy nominated and Juno award winning rockers Crash Test Dummies are coming to Maxwell’s Concert & Events on March 11! Led by the unmistakable baritone of Brad Roberts, the band became a defining voice of Canadian alternative rock, and you can catch them live right here in Waterloo!
Jason Mewes Live | March 13
Indie film icon Jason Mewes is bringing his signature “Jay” energy to the Conrad Centre for the Performing Arts. Best known for his decades of rebellious banter alongside Kevin Smith in the Jay and Silent Bob and Clerks movies, Mewes has now transitioned into the digital space with the Hulu Original Series, Spoilers. Part screening, part “verbal blogging” free-for-all, the show invites fans to engage in high-energy debates about the latest in pop culture—continuing Mewes’ legacy of offbeat, audience-driven entertainment.
Baby Goat Playtime and Snuggles | March 13, 14, 20, 22, 27, 28, and 29
We get it. Winter’s not over yet. There’s an inescapable news cycle. You need a break, and Udderly Ridiculous Farm Life is here to help. 2026 Kitchener I Heart Beer Festival | March 14
The I❤︎BEER Festival is back at Bingemans on March 14! Sip your way through some of the best Ontario beers, ciders, and spirits and enjoy games and dancing! This year, there are two sessions on one day—either 1 to 5 P.M. or 5 to 10 P.M.
The Sheepdogs | March 14

Kitchener Rangers St. Patrick’s Day game and Billet Appreciation Night | March 17

The Neighbours | March 18–29
Straight from its opening at the Tarragon Theatre in Toronto, Nicolas Billon’s “The Neighbours” comes to the Conrad Centre. Directed by Green Light Art’s Matt White, “The Neighbours” examines how good people can be complicit in acts of cruelty.
Living Room for Small | March 21
Fresh off a high-profile direct support slot for Down With Webster, Waterloo’s own Living Room for Small is set to storm the stage at The Boathouse on March 21! Bringing the “pop-alternative” heat to their home turf, the group is celebrating the release of their highly anticipated album, Mind Your Feelings.
Blue Jays Home Opener on the Big Screen | March 27
Remember the thrill of last year’s World Series run? Get ready to celebrate the beginning of another winning season for the Toronto Blue Jays at the Gaslight District in Cambridge! Throw on your Jays’ gear, bring a chair and get ready to cheer with the crowd as you watch their home opener outdoors on the Big Screen.
Rusty Nail Comedy with headliner Rob Bebenek |March 28
Kitchener’s very own Rob Bebenek is back in town for a special Saturday night Rusty Nail Comedy show at TWH Social. Rob has appeared on the Just For Laughs Festival, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and was a finalist in Sirius XM’s Top Comic competition.
