FIFA World Cup 2026™ is coming to Canada and FIFA is kicking off a first-of-its-kind programme bringing communities across Canada together to celebrate the biggest FIFA World Cup 2026™ in history.
This special fan activation is a family-friendly event with a live match viewing, football themed activities, cultural programming, music, food and shared moments of national pride – and Waterloo Region is part of the journey!
Join us for a free, family-friendly celebration at Carl Zehr Square in the City of Kitchener on July 11, 2026. The fun gets underway at 3 p.m.!

- Watch all the action on the big screen at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.

- Explore free soccer-themed activities, skills challenges, and mini-pitch games featuring some of Waterloo Region’s future soccer stars.
Food, drinks and live entertainment
- Toronto-based band Reggaddiction will set the tone with their blend of Jamaican rhythms and Canadian influences.
- Food trucks and a licensed beer garden will be available throughout the day.
