A Quintessential evening of Stories, Songs and Winter

A Quintessential Evening of Love, Song & Winter is an intimate concert of close-harmony singing, storytelling, and seasonal reflection, presented by Waterloo’s own The Quintessentials: Armin Armbruster · Jonathan Cressman · Paul Hopkins – Geoff Vanderkooy · David Willms
With musical direction support from Nancy Kidd
Playwright: Mark Weatherly
Narrator: Paul Hopkins
Woven together with a light, poetic narrative by playwright Mark Weatherly, and guided by narrator Paul Hopkins, the evening moves through love in its many forms — romantic, nostalgic, playful, and hard-won — set against the quiet beauty of winter.
Performed in the warm, candlelit setting of the Lion’s Den at the Huether Hotel, this is pub theatre at its coziest: rich harmonies, familiar songs, familiar stories, and a perfect excuse to lean in, raise a glass, and spend an evening in good company.
- This is pub theatre:
- Presentations are short.
- The intermissions are long.
- And the conversations matter.
- Come early, grab a drink, meet new people, and settle in for an intimate evening of storytelling in the heart of the Huether Hotel.
