Our church walking tour in Kitchener explores the history of local faith communities and their leaders, congregations, building architecture, conflicts and accomplishments.
Learn about the earliest settler congregation and its later church split; the ruggedly independent minister known as the “marrying preacher”; the church burned by an arsonist; a congregation’s disastrous building project, and other stories and surprises along the way!
Accessibility: Route follows paved surfaces on city sidewalks. Accessible for scooters & wheelchairs. The walking tour does not enter any churches, we view the buildings from outside.
