Blacksmith’s Knife Workshop!

This one day – very brief workshop – provides a hands on introduction to forging and heat treating a high carbon steel knife.
Starting with a 1084 steel blank welded to a mild steel handle, participants are shown how to operate a solid fuel forge and hammer out a basic knife blade , grind it to shape, harden and sharpen it.
