Claytime – Beginner Clay Workshops

Get creative with clay! During this freestyle clay workshop you can make and paint a small project of your choice. Each ticket includes 1 clay item to go through the kiln.
Our instructor will demonstrate basic handbuilding techniques and show you how to combine simple forms with sculptural elements to create fun and functional pieces for your home! Items are food safe, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe.
Popular project ideas include a plate, mug, plant pot, or ring holder – all with the option to add your own decorative touch. Make a mug with your morning mantra, a tealight that looks like a turtle, or a plate that’s designed to fit your favourite snack.
During the workshop, please photograph your artwork and carve your name on the bottom so you can identify it when it comes out of the kiln.
Artwork Pickup + Firing:
Items will be kiln fired after the workshop by our team of studio technicians. You will be emailed in 6-8 weeks after the workshop when items are ready for pick up. Your clay artwork will be air dried for 1 week and then fired in the kiln twice. Each firing takes up to 48 hours. Click here to see which workshop dates are ready for pickup!
Groups with children:
Children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult who also has a ticket. 1 adult can bring up to 4 children (all must have a ticket). Tickets are the same price for all ages.
