Deadly Frequencies

July 17 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Three popular musicians will be celebrating their Indigenous culture while performing live at The Union in Kitchener on Friday, July 17. Graeme Jonez, Gladwyn Badger and Pandora Wilhelm will be part of Deadly Frequencies, which starts at 8:00 p.m. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20, or pay what you can. Proceeds will directly support the participating artists, as well as Crow Shield Lodge, a local Indigenous land-based education and healing centre. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Pandora Wilhelm, who is also the event’s main organizer: “I called the show Deadly Frequencies because I wanted something that was catchy and powerful, with a nod to our Indigenous culture through slang. Deadly doesn’t mean dangerous. We use it to mean awesome, amazing, powerful, and it’s a word you’ll hear Indigenous folks use all the time to celebrate each other.”

“Frequencies speaks to music, but it also represents our voices and stories and connections. Every artist has their own frequency, whether that’s their sound, or experience, or perspective. We’re making a space where our voices are heard, celebrated and amplified.”
