IRL (Irish Real Life) Celtic Music School – Mandolin and Irish Banjo
March 7 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Please join us for this fun, casual music class. The Mandolin and the Irish Banjo (4 – string) are tuned the same, except that the banjo is an octave lower. We’ll explore how these two instruments are used in Irish music. We’ll look at a few types of tunes (e.g. jigs, reels) and will explore melodies as well as accompaniment possibilities.
Beginner and intermediate players are invited to join in.
This class is PWYC (PayWhatYouCan) with a suggested minimum of $25.
Please bring your own instrument or check out the instrument library at the Kitchener Public Library or Long & McQuade for rentals.
