Little Lens Walk – Child-led exploration of Monarch Woods

Join us for a free, child-led, collaborative exploration through the woods as seen through the eyes of a child’s curiosity. Seize the opportunity to put away the screens, but don’t worry – we’re bringing the Polaroid camera so you can take home memories of whatever catches your kid’s attention.

We’ll wander under a variety of tree species and along the creek’s edge, with plenty of time and space to explore. Balance along fallen logs. Turn over stones to see who’s hiding underneath. Wade in the water ankle-deep (or further, if the mood strikes). We’ll slow down and use all our senses: looking, listening, smelling, and feeling our way through the forest.

This walk also doubles as a small thank-you to Monarch Woods itself, one of many quietly amazing forests cared for right here in our city.
