Celebrate the incredible Monarch migration during Monarch Tagging Weekend at Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory!
Each fall, Monarch butterflies travel more than 3,000 km from Ontario to their overwintering grounds in the mountains of central Mexico.
Join us September 12 & 13 to learn about their remarkable migration and how you can help support this species at risk.
🦋 Monarch Butterfly Releases
Watch Monarchs take flight as they begin their migration to Mexico. Releases take place outdoors at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm, weather permitting.
🌱 Take Home Milkweed Seeds
Take home a complimentary packet of Common Milkweed seeds and help support Monarchs at home! Includes planting instructions. While supplies last; limit one packet per visiting group.
🎯 Monarch Migration Challenge
Explore the tropical greenhouse like a migrating Monarch! Visit challenge stations, roll the dice and see how far you make it on your migration.
🎨 Crafts & Activities
Enjoy Monarch-themed colouring and crafts throughout your visit.
