Nostalgia of Cambridge Walking Tours: Galt’s Architectural Past

Join McDougall Cottage staff for an engaging walking tour that explores the architecture and businesses that formed the Galt area of Cambridge today.

Offered in conjunction with McDougall Cottage’s newest exhibit, Snapshots in Time: Nostalgia and Memory, this guided walking tour through Galt explores some of the places that reflect the hard work and creativity of generations who built this community and that still hold special meaning for local residents and their families.

The sites we’ll visit not only helped to shape the Galt area itself, but also the lives of the people who lived and worked there. While the people may have changed, the memories of its stories, buildings, and businesses remain.

The tours depart from McDougall Cottage at 6:30 pm and 7:00 pm sharp and run for approximately 90 minutes, ending at 13 Food and Beverage (13 Main St.)
