Queen’s Bush Settlement Mural Project

Join us in celebrating the Queen’s Bush Settlement (QBS) Mural Project, a community-driven public artwork honouring the Black settlers who established farms, families, churches, and schools in the region between 1839 and 1865. Through art, storytelling, and historical research, the mural shines a light on an important chapter of local Black history rooted in resilience, freedom, and belonging.
Celebrate with a day of community, culture, and connection on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Enjoy delicious eats from a Caribbean food truck and ice cream truck, live music, children’s entertainment, a pop-up Black history exhibit, and the launch of the Queen’s Bush Settlement driving tour, where visitors can pick up a free map pamphlet to explore the area’s rich heritage.
Free admission. All are welcome.
