Thanksgiving Steam Excursion

Celebrate Thanksgiving weekend with a special heritage ride behind Steam Locomotive No. 9 (MLW 0-6-0)!

Join us Sunday, October 11 for a round-trip steam excursion from the WCR Farmers’ Market Station to Elmira and back, departing at 11:00 am and 1:30 pm.
Enjoy the sights and sounds of steam as No. 9 travels through the beautiful fall countryside of Waterloo Region.

The journey also includes a classic steam run-past, giving passengers the opportunity to step off the train at a designated location and photograph No. 9 passing by under steam. Guests will then reboard to continue the journey.

The run-past is weather permitting and will not take place in rainy, wet or muddy conditions.
