Wayback Festival

Wayback Festival is back in Downtown Kitchener for a weekend of free live music, entertainment, and unforgettable throwback fun — rain or shine! Taking place at Carl Zehr Square on July 24–25, 2026, the festival brings together iconic hits and high-energy performances for music fans of all ages.

Friday night kicks off with a celebration of classic rock featuring incredible tribute acts. Relive the biggest hits of the 1980s with Born in the Eighties, sing along to arena-rock anthems with Only Journey Tribute Band, and experience the magic of Elton John’s early years with Early Elton Tribute Band.

Saturday night showcases legendary Canadian talent with performances by Trooper and Loverboy. From timeless favourites like “Raise a Little Hell” and “We’re Here for a Good Time” to iconic hits including “Working for the Weekend,” these powerhouse bands will bring an unforgettable close to the festival weekend.
