Be entertained by a Drayton Entertainment production at the St. Jacobs Schoolhouse Theatre! Located in the heart of a Mennonite town, the St. Jacobs Schoolhouse Theatre is just a few steps from the always exciting main street of St. Jacobs. Visitors can easily spend an entire weekend taking in all that St. Jacobs has to offer, including a number of unique shops, restaurants, museums, and the seemingly endless scenic views of the surrounding countryside.
The theatre itself is in a renovated 1867 village schoolhouse. Its quaint location provides ample charm and it is a unique venue for taking in the performing arts. There are 100 seats available and the venue offers great acoustics. With an intimate and cabaret-style atmosphere, visitors can see a variety of performances while enjoying beverages right at their table. With 25 tables of four, this intimate venue ensures there isn’t a bad seat in the house!

The St. Jacobs Schoolhouse is a part of Drayton Entertainment, an award-winning, not-for-profit organization dedicated to producing and showcasing an unparalleled theatre experience. Created in 1991 by Alex Mustakas, the launch of the Drayton Festival Theatre was an immediate success. The organization has since grown to include multiple venues across southwestern Ontario. Here in Waterloo Region, Drayton Entertainment also performs at the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse Theatre and the Hamilton Family Theatre in Cambridge.
