The Woolwich Memorial Centre (WMC) is a state-of-the-art multi-use facility located in the town of Elmira in Woolwich Township. It is home to two NHL-sized ice surfaces, two pools, a fitness centre and a walking track. The facility also includes a community centre, senior and youth centre, concessions and Concourse Café, two meeting rooms, and offices for minor sports teams.
Both rinks at WMC have NHL-sized ice surfaces, that are used for a number of different skating programs.
The primary rink at Woolwich Community Centre is dedicated to the memory former Elmira-native Dan Snyder, who played in the NHL with the Atlanta Thrashers. WMC is also home to the Elmira Sugar Kings Junior B hockey team.
Woolwich Memorial Centre houses two universally accessible pools; a 6 lane 25 metre competition pool, and a warm-water teaching and leisure pool. It is home to the Woolwich Wave swim team, as well as several public swim classes and leisure swims. The pools are also available to rent for team functions, birthday parties, as well as other events.
