The Fields & Flavours Trail

Moore’s Berries and Farm Fresh Produce: A Century of Growing and Gathering

At Moore’s Berries and Farm Fresh Produce, farming is more than a livelihood—it’s a legacy. As a Century Farm with over 109 years of family stewardship, Alan and Nancy Moore continue to nurture the land with the same care and community spirit that has defined their farm for generations.

What began as a pick-your-own (PYO) strawberry farm has blossomed into a year-round destination where fields, food, and fun all come together. Today, the farm offers PYO strawberries and pumpkins in season, and a colourful assortment of fresh vegetables including garlic, beans, zucchini, and potatoes. They also raise Texas Longhorn and Black Angus cattle, adding to the farm’s unique charm.

Moore’s is more than just a place to stock up on produce—it’s a hub of connection. In their farm store, you’ll find their own farm grown offerings along with goods sourced from neighbouring farms, keeping everything as local as possible. Their popular dinner bundles make it easy to bring home fresh, ready-to-cook meals, and their mini meals for seniors are a heartfelt nod to community care.

And then there’s the Longhorn Smokehouse Food Truck—a labour of love inspired by Texas travels and famous for Farmer Allen’s dry-rubbed brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken, and smashburgers! Picnic tables located beside the store invite visitors to enjoy the smoky flavours while taking in farm views (you might even spot the Longhorn cattle while you eat!).

Moore’s also offers free monthly live music and artisan markets from May to October, and a growing Junior Farmers program that lets kids roll up their sleeves and discover the joys of farming.

From strawberries to smokehouse brisket, Moore’s Berries and Farm Fresh Produce offers a farm-to-fork experience that’s rooted in tradition, and always inventing new ways to bring people closer to their food.
