There has been an increased interest in bikepacking – cycling on routes with non-paved surfaces (think gravel roads and forest trails). Waterloo cyclist Matthew Kadey has developed two backpacking for syclists to enjoy: the BT700 and the Grand Nith Rambler (GNR).
The cities and townships of Waterloo Region are home to a fantastic collection of cycling and mixed-use trails you can use to explore new restaurants, cafes, and breweries. There are trails for cyclists of all skill levels!
KitchenerToday.com – All of Waterloo Region’s bike infrastructure can now be found on a map. The Region of Waterloo Cycling Map & Guide, a partnership between the region and Explore Waterloo Region, also includes route suggestions and points of interest.
