Wilmot Mistletoe Stop – Mistletoe Tea Party

Artist Laura Kwok reimagines mistletoe into a playful, festive celebration. MISTLETOE TEA PARTY invites visitors to pause, smile, and delight in the magic of the holiday season.

Canadian artist and muralist Laura Kwok is known for bright, whimsical public art that brings warmth and joy to everyday life. With over a decade of experience creating large-scale murals and interactive installations, she blends craftsmanship, curiosity, and playfulness to engage communities.

Drawn to the Mistletoe Trail for its festive spirit and sense of wonder, Laura’s work celebrates connection, curiosity, and the joy of the holiday season—inviting visitors to pause, smile, and experience a little holiday magic.

Laura’s mistletoe creation blends charm, whimsy, and a touch of Canadian spirit. A handcrafted teapot pours a bushel of mistletoe, with glistening pearl berries adding festive sparkle. Painted in a confetti-like pattern inspired by Waterloo Region, the teapot is adorned with a Christmas robin and a grey jay—symbolizing friends and family celebrating together, near or far.

Inspired by the traditional use of mistletoe for herbal tea, this playful installation celebrates community, connection, and the joy of the holiday season.

Castle Kilbride, in the village of Baden, Ontario, is a grand Victorian home that was built in 1877 for James Livingston, flax industrialist, politician and entrepreneur. The castle was designed in the Italianate style of architecture: its magnificent Trompe l’oeil ceiling and wall murals provide an optical illusion of depth.  A tour through this magnificent Castle is a step back into the lavish Victorian Era.
