Between festivals, live music, Pride celebrations, farm adventures, and enough weekend events to make your group chat spiral, Waterloo Region is officially in full summer mode.
The best strategy? Pick your favourites for now, send this blog to your “we should do something this weekend” people, and come back often because there’s plenty more where this came from!

Things to Do in June
Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None | June 2–7
Ten strangers. One remote island. No escape. Drayton Entertainment brings the best-selling crime novel of all time to the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse in this darkly suspenseful thriller where long-buried secrets, a sinister nursery rhyme, and a killer in their midst keep everyone (audience included) guessing until the very end.
Kitchener Panthers Baseball | June 4, 7, 12, 14, 18, and 21
Take the family out to a ballgame right here in Kitchener. Your Kitchener Panthers have six home games this month at Jack Couch Park next to the Kitchener Aud. Gameday tickets are only $12 in advance or $14 at the gate. June 7 is Country Night, June 18 is Bark at the Park, and toss a ball on the field at their Father’s Day Game on June 21.
Dance It Off Tuesdays | Every Tuesday in June
Waterloo Public Square transforms into an outdoor dance floor on Tuesdays in June. Local instructors lead free, drop-in workshops for all skill levels, from K-pop and West Coast Swing to East Coast Swing with live big band music. No experience needed, just comfortable shoes and a willingness to move. Free, family-friendly, and weather-dependent.
Open Ears Music Festival | June 4–7
Open Ears is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what music can be, presenting an eclectic mix of indie classical, electroacoustic, sound installations, and performance art across traditional venues and unexpected spaces. Explore the festival in places like the Kitchener Waterloo Art Gallery, the Perimeter Institute, Waterloo City Hall, and more.
Perth Farmhouse Farm To Table Adventures | June 5–7, 12–14, 19–21, and 26–28
Looking for a great date idea? Check out the Farm To Table Adventure at Perth Farmhouse. They’re a self-guided tasting and dining experience combining Flights & Goats at The Perth Farmhouse with a three-course meal at Puddicombe House.
tri-Pride Summerfest | June 6
Waterloo Region’s flagship Pride celebration at Victoria Park, Summerfest features live music, drag performances, vendors, a beer garden, and a family-friendly kids zone. This year’s theme THE LIGHT IS COMING marks the festival’s 30th anniversary and recognizes we’re in a time of uncertainty and renewed challenges for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community here and around the world.
Latin Music on Queen | June 6 and 20
Take your Friday night outside with Queen Latin Music’s free bi-weekly dance parties in Cambridge. Salsa, bachata, and merengue fill the air as dancers of all skill levels come together for an evening of fresh-air, good-music, and good vibes. No experience needed. Just show up and move.
Riverside Yoga in the Sculpture Garden | June 8
Recharge and flow with some yoga by the Grand River in the Cambridge Sculpture Garden! Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, this is the perfect chance to stretch, breathe, and unwind surrounded by amazing art and nature. Bring your mat and some water, and get ready to flow with good energy in a chill, inspiring location. Classes are led by professional yoga instructors from Atlas Yoga Studio.
Roller Skating in the Square | June 8, 15, 22, 29
Retro Rollers is turning Carl Zehr Square into the region’s best outdoor roller rink every Monday night in June from 7 to 10 pm. Skate and dance to tunes spun by DJ PDK and other guest DJs! No skates? No problem! Retro Rollers has kids’ and adults’ skates available for rent. Don’t forget to check out Retro Rollers new home at 563 Highland Road in Kitchener. It’s a year-round, indoor roller rink with live DJs and special theme nights!
DTK Welcomes the World | Multiple Dates
Canada, the U.S., and Mexico are hosting the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and you can catch all the games on the big screen at the Kitchener Market outdoor piazza. From June 11 to July 19, grab your friends to shout “ole, ole, ole” with over 100 matches being shown. This is Waterloo Region’s ONLY free, full-tournament big screen experience!
Movies in the Park | June 11, 18, and 25
Grab a blanket, your favourite hoodie, and head to the Hilltop Picnic Area in Waterloo Park for a summer full of outdoor movie nights under the stars. Films begin at sundown on the big outdoor screen, with SDH subtitles available. Brought to you in partnership with Princess Cinemas in support of the Food Bank of Waterloo Region — if you can, bring a non-perishable food item to donate.
You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown | June 12–28
Good grief, it’s Charlie Brown! Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre brings the beloved Peanuts gang to life in this warm and whimsical musical revue. Catch the bus, write a book report, and play a baseball game alongside Charlie, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, and the rest of the crew. Performances run Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday matinees, with a relaxed performance on June 14 for neurodivergent audiences and anyone who’d benefit from a more comfortable theatrical experience.
Moore Farms Store Dad’s Day: Tools and Torch | June 13
Learn how to build a wooden toolbox with someone special in your life at Moore Farms Store in Ayr during its Tools and Torch Dad’s Day event. For just $25, you get a complete, hands-on project kit, all the glue and nails you need, and a shaded spot under our workshop tent to get to work. Then explore over 19 vendors, a Kids Corral, and a chance to see the Longhorn cattle and their calves along the driveway.
One Big Gay Disco: The Grand River Special | June 13
The glitter is spreading south of the 401. Catch DJs DIVAA, Danasonic, and Raevn spinning Pride anthems, disco, and house music, with drag performances from Kara Melle, Oliver D. Spectrum, Sasha Tease, and Yu Reinas. This is the official Pride afterparty in partnership with Grand River Pride, this one kicks off when the Street Fair closes — so dust off your most Quintessential Disco Decadence look and get ready to dance.
Open Streets | June 13
Uptown Waterloo goes car-free for a day of music, movement, and community. Catch breakdance battles and live performances from the KW Breakers, Shark the SOB, and Shua James in Waterloo Public Square, groove to DJs, and wander Willis Way for an art market featuring local makers, caricature drawings, glitter tattoos, giant games, and a community chalk mandala.
Woolwich Pride | June 13
Celebrate Pride at Gibson Park in Elmira from 1 to 4 P.M. They’ll have the Fo’ Cheezy Food Truck, games, music, and more! Woolwich Pride entertainment features a Drag Queen Story Time, Rainbow Choir, and they’ve teamed up with Elmira Pet Value for the first ever Rainbow Runway pet fashion and talent show!
Cambridge Pride Street Party | June 13
The Cambridge Pride Street Party is a celebration of Queer art, stories, and more! Join them on June 13 to explore over 50 vendors and food trucks and music and drag performances featuring Shania Twink and Juno Nominee Shawnee Kish!
Open Air Antique Fair at St. Jacobs Market | June 14
Spend a Sunday afternoon hunting for hidden gems at Market Road Antiques’ monthly Open Air Antique Fair. Curated collections of antiques, vintage finds, and retro collectibles are spread out under the overhang, with chill music setting the mood over the lunch hour. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just love a good browse, it’s a relaxed, unhurried way to spend a summer day in St. Jacobs.
The Waterloo Salsa Bachata Festival | June 18–20
Experience a three-day celebration of Latin dance culture featuring local and international artists performing salsa and bachata in the heart of Waterloo. The first-ever Waterloo Salsa Bachata Festival is coming to Uptown Waterloo and estas invitado to join in on the fun and energy. Hosted by The Underdog Dance Corp., the festival features workshops, socials, and shows across the city’s core.
Township of Wellesley Backyard BBQ | June 19
This annual event features road hockey, a kids zone, free popcorn and ice cream, live performances, a cash bar and bbq food for purchase.
The fun ends off with an amazing fireworks display at 10PM.
Eby Manor Open House | June 20
The best thing about being surrounded by amazing farm land is the chance to learn about where our food comes from. On June 20, head to Eby Manor to meet their Guernsey cows and see where your milk comes from. They’ll have wagon rides, barn tours, and a local vendor market. Admission is just $5 a car too!
Neighbours Day | June 20
Kitchener’s city-wide porch party is back. Up to 50 local musicians fan out across neighbourhoods, popping up on porches, driveways, and front lawns for one-hour performances from noon to 5pm. Grab a lawn chair, step outside, and let the music come to you. Free, no registration required.
Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Festival | June 20–21
Victoria Park in Kitchener comes alive with the sights, sounds, and aromas of the diverse mix of cultures that call our community home. Celebrate the 59th edition of the festival, one of Canada’s largest multicultural festivals, that draws over 65,000 people to Victoria Park with food from dozens of ethnic associations, live performances, and an international marketplace.
Ghost Walk at Castle Kilbride | June 20
Who says ghost walks can only happen in October? Head to Castle Kilbride for an exclusive nighttime exploration of the historic home’s secrets and lingering spirits. You’ll learn about the talented house artist who faked his death, Spirited children who still call Kilbride home, and more haunting stories. Spaces are limited!
Father’s Day Heritage Hopper | June 20
Take your dad on an unforgettable day out with the Waterloo Central Railway’s Father’s Day Heritage Hopper. On June 20, Dad rides FREE with the family on a scenic heritage train journey through the beautiful Mennonite countryside of Woolwich Township. Enjoy vintage charm, stunning views, and a special gift for Dad, a limited-edition WCW Locomotive Lager in the lounge car.
Strawberry Social | June 27
Indulge in strawberry desserts and treats at Moore Farms Strawberry Social from 10 to 2pm. Meet their resident Beekeeper Alyssa and let your kids burn off the sugar in the bouncy castle and Kids Corral. The Longhorn Smokehouse food truck will be on site, too!
Langdon Hall BBQ Series | June 30
Langdon Hall invites you to an outdoor celebration at its Summer House and Firshade Gardens. The event brings together chefs who collaborate to share the rich and diverse flavors of the region with each chef offering a unique taste of their culinary heritage, creating a communal feast that highlights creativity, connection, and the spirit of sharing.
