Canada Celebrates the FIFA World Cup 2026™ a free, family-friendly celebration that will take over Carl Zehr Square in the City of Kitchener on July 11, 2026.
This special event is family-friendly, and features football themed activities, cultural programming, music, food and shared moments of national pride – and Waterloo Region is part of the journey!
The fun gets underway at 3 p.m. Explore free soccer-themed activities, skills challenges, and mini-pitch games featuring some of Waterloo Region’s future soccer stars. Toronto-based band Reggaddiction will set the tone with their blend of Jamaican rhythms and Canadian influences, and food trucks and a licensed beer garden will be available throughout the day.
Bring your lawn chairs and get ready to cheer, as you take in the day’s two FIFA World Cup 2026™ quarter-final matches live on the big screen at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.!
